This is the second tutorial blog on MS Word Document, Here I will explain MS Word Window Interface and its important Parts.
When you start word document file so you get the following window
Here in the above picture as you can see there are multiple bar & option available so lets understand these option and bar one by one:
1. Quick Access Toolbar:
On the top left corner there is a tool bar appear which is known as Quick Access Toolbar, it display most frequent used command. We can customize it, in this toolbar we can add or remove most frequent used command as per our choice or usage.
Example:
- Print Preview,
- Quick Print,
- Save, Undo,
- Redo,
- Draw Table,
- Highlight,
- Open File,
- New File, etc.
2. File Tab
Just below the quick access toolbar there is a File Tab which is also called Backstage because its give us access to manage MS Word file.
Example:
- New Word File
- Open Saved File,
- Save,
- Save As,
- Info,
- Print,
- Share,
- Close, etc.
3. Ribbon Tab
Ribbon Tab also located below quick access toolbar beside file tab. Ribbon Tab contains different tabs each tab have its own unique command.
Example:
- Home Tab,
- Insert Tab,
- Design Tab,
- Layout Tab,
- Refrences Tab,
- Mailings Tab,
- Review Tab &
- View Tab.
4. Ribbon
Ribbon is bar which is located below the ribbon tab, it shows related group of command within specific tab. In ribbon each group name appear below the group.
Example:
In Home Tab there are different ribbon group that are:- Font,
- Paragraph,
- Styles &
- Clipboard.
- Pages,
- Tables,
- Illustrations,
- Add-ins,
- Media,
- Links,
- Comments,
- Header & Footer,
- Text &
- Symbols.
- Document Formatting &
- Page Background .
- Page Setup,
- Paragraph &
- Arrange.
- Table of Content,
- Footnotes,
- Citation & Bibliography,
- Caption,
- Index &
- Table of Authorities.
- Create,
- Start Mail Merge,
- Write & Insert Fields,
- Preview Results &
- Finish.
- Proofing,
- Insight,
- Language,
- Comments,
- Tracking,
- Changes,
- Compare &
- Protect.
- Views,

- Zoom,
- Window,

5. Title Bar
Title bar is a bar which is located in the middle at the top of the window, It shows the name of a file and program.
Example
In the aforementioned picture Document1 is a name of a file & word is a software name.6. Helping Bar or Search Bar or Tell Me Box
It is a new feature tell me what you want a do by it you can find anything without going for it just simply type words or phrases then list will appear of command then select your desire option.
7. Window Control Button or Option
8. Horizontal Scale or Ruler
9. Vertical Scale or Ruler
It is a bar which is appeared at the left side of the document area which also shows inch scale. It is also use for align text, table, graph, pictures, etc.
10. Document Area
Document Area is blank area which is use for typing anything, it is use for typing text, explain table, graph, picture, etc.
11. Status Bar
Example
- How many page are there in the document also tell you in which page you are currentlyy working.
- How words are there in the documents.
- How many error are there in the document like spelling mistake and others mistake.
12. View Option
MS Word Gives you different option of layout, it is located below right side beside zoom bar.
Example
- First one is Read Mode when you click on it then you document will be appear in column design layout. It is use for remove distraction while reading a document and making small changes in it.
- Second is Print Layout, it show what your document will look when you print it, most of the user use this view because it exactly print output to you.
- Third is Web Layout, it show what your document will look when you if you upload it online website.
13. Zoom Bar
Zoom bar is located blow in the right corner, it is use for zoom in or zoom out your document and focus on particular area of the document.
